E2C UK FAQs
Do I need to be an E2C member if I am offering CompTIA
certifications at my establishment?
If you are offering CompTIA A+ as part of the OCR
iPro suite, City & Guilds Systems Support Diploma
or BTEC First or National Diplomas then it is mandatory
to join the E2C programme. If you are eligible to
join the programme, then it is in your best interest
to join to take advantage of the fantastic member
benefits to support your establishment and your students.
Which CompTIA certifications are available to UK
E2C members?
CompTIA A+,
CompTIA Network+,
CompTIA Security+,
CompTIA Linux+,
CompTIA Server+.
How much is the E2C programme?
To join the E2C programme there is an annual fee
of $890. Payments may be made in GBP at £480
if payment is made by cheque or BACS. Credit card
payments may only be made in U.S. dollars.
Who is eligible for a CompTIA UK E2C membership?
CompTIA E2C membership is available to all public
schools and colleges, not-for-profit training organisations
and government agencies that train individuals
to enter the ICT workforce.

How many guided learning hours do CompTIA certifications attract (as units)?
A+ - 120 hrs
Network+, Server+, Linux+, Security+ - 75 hrs
Project+ - 120 hrs
How does CompTIA work with Microsoft?
CompTIA A+ with Network+ or Server+ can count as
an elective towards an MCSA. CompTIA Security+
counts as an elective on the MCSE (security track).
